Description

This is a bentwood dining chair, originally designed by Ward Bennett for Brickel Associates. This particular example was produced in 1984. The design features a sculptural solid bentwood frame. The seat and back are upholstered in a light purple fabric. This chair came from the IBM Headquarters in Armonk, which was designed by Skidmore, Owings, and Merrill (SOM) Architects, under project lead Gordon Bunshaft and Davis Allen likely leading the interiors.

The chair measures 22 inches deep, 23 inches wide, and 33 inches high, with a seat height of 18 inches. This example shows light wear consistent with age and use, including minor scuffs and surface blemishes. Overall, the chair remains in good vintage condition. Please see photos.
