A.I. Armchair (Set of 2)

Description

Sold as a set of two chairs.

The result of a collaboration between Philippe Starck, Kartell and prominent design technology company Autodesk, the A.I. Chair is a unique and historically significant product.

As the title indicates, the design for the chair was assisted by artificial intelligence algorithms. The legs, seat and supports are computationally optimized to use a minimal amount of material.

This chair represents one of the first examples of artificial intelligence used in the production of designed furniture, and reflects a cultural shift toward Computational Design in the creation consumer goods.

The A.I. chair was released in Salone del Mobile in Milan in 2019. It is made from 100% recycled material.
