Description
The D49 is architecture turned into a chair: It combines four elegant elements made of bent rosewood plywood to create a unique desk armchair. The buttoned seat and back cushions made of high-quality leather fit elegantly into the organic shape of the desk chair. The integrated tilt mechanism and gas spring make the D49 adjustable in inclination and height. Hard wheel castors.
D49 was designed by architect Hans Könecke. In the 1960s and 1970s, Hans Könecke produced a contemporary furniture program with a variety of his own designs under the Tecta brand. In 1972, Werner and Axel Bruchhäuser took over the company and realigned it. Tecta still produces the elegant D49 in its own workshops in Lauenförde.
