Description
This is an original Drafting Shell Chair, Model 622NS, designed by Ray and Charles Eames for Herman Miller. It is a rather scarce design and is difficult to find in the vintage marketplace. This example has an off white fiberglass shell seat, and it sits atop a stainless steel base that swivels.
This chair measures 28 inches deep, 28 inches wide, and 41.5 inches high. It has a seat height of 27.5 inches. Some of the paint has worn away on the base, and there are some scratches on the back of the seat. We have intentionally left it in its as-found state to showcase its history.
