Description
This is an Original 1227 Giant Floor Lamp, designed by George Carwardine. The lamp was introduced in 2005 and was based on the Original 1227 Desk Lamp, originally designed in 1935. This particular example was produced by Anglepoise in 2025. Finished in blue with chrome-plated hardware, the lamp features the signature spring tension mechanism, allowing for smooth, balanced positioning of the large aluminum shade.
The lamp’s base measures 17.7 inches wide by 17.7 inches deep, with the shade measuring 17.3 inches in diameter and 18.5 inches tall. The max reach of the lamp is 106.3 inches. Overall, this piece shows very little war from previous use and is in very good to excellent condition. Please see photos.
