Description
This is a Saarinen Executive Arm Chair, originally designed by Eero Saarinen for Knoll in 1950. This example was produced in 1975. The design features legs of polished tubular stainless steel, and has an upholstered seat and back in orange fabric. This example came from the IBM Headquarters in Armonk, which was designed by Skidmore, Owings, and Merrill (SOM) Architects, under project lead Gordon Bunshaft and Davis Allen likely leading the interiors.
The chair measures 24.25 inches long, 26 inches wide, and 31.5 inches high, with a seat height of 18 inches. This piece shows light wear from previous use, including minor scuffs and surface blemishes. Overall, the chair is in good vintage condition. Please see photos.
